Be Like The Raggydolls and say "I Just Don't Care"

I was heckled today! It was brilliant. On the country train home in the country, I clambered aboard and instantly heard -
"OMG did you See that girl in the yellow bow?"
"Why is she wearing That?" "Where do you find clothes that gross?" "She looks like an old woman" "I'd rather die than be dressed like that" and so on and so forth. (Should I mention that of these youths the girls were wearing legging/tracksuit pants and hoodies, an inch deep in make up and playing Rihanna loudly from a phone?)
As they got off they hurled a few more and gave me the finger. Brilliant. Later I saw them as I walked down the street - they yelled 'FREAK' at me from the other side of the road.
Oh how I have missed this.

The outfit however is disappointing banal -
(Seductively unbuttoning? The first time I have ever used the word seductive in regards to myself? things to ponder)
(Matching Two Piece! + gold tights, not strange coloured legs)
I bought a duffle coat in celebration! and I didn't even have to break a note - lovely country op shops

Dear Agyness

Dear Agyness Deyn, I am annoyed at you.
I know you're a babe,
and I know that you wear awesome clothes (most of the time)
and I know that you are always on the catwalk for my favourite shows
but,
dear Agyness
you did untold damage when you wore these denim cut-off shorts a few years ago.
Now dear Agyness I can't walk down the street without seeing these monstrosities on the thin and round legs alike of every silly young girl.
Obviously denim shorts were not your invention dear Agyness
but now, in an era of McFashion were a style can be in stores mere days after an icon wears them,
everything becomes bastardised.
And the youth do not know it was you who caused the pocket-showing fad, and that you are funky, and that you can rock it
and that they cannot.

I know Aggy, that you loved denim shorts
but they make me sad.
And now they are making the streets of Australia uniform and ugly.

Dear Agyness - next time, look before you leap.

Love Jazz

If You Can Clean An Oven, You Can Clean Me

I feel very distant from the younger generation. The thing is, my sister is only 5 years younger and a whole generation away.
And even though I can accept that-I-can't-accept her desire to wear the same clothes as her friends (denim shorts and a white singlet - zomg high-wasted you so alternative!) and too much make-up (and this isn't just my sister, but rather an eternally troubling trend)
however
I CAN'T ACCEPT THE TREND TO AFFIX ONES WALLS WITH ADVERTISING
It's kind of disturbed. We are bombarded with advertising all day everyday, and the youths are sticking it to their walls?
THANK YOU BIG BROTHER. Orwell, we got the message.
Yes, a postcard or a photo or even a really clever or attractive bit of advertising I can fully understand, but ugly photos of perfume bottles? Or just brand names? WHY?
In other news, today my doctor told me I looked like one of the "hippies" from the "70's" - "have you ever heard of them?"
These babes? YES!
(Ma doctor is so out-of-da-loop)
