Next Christmas I hope to find a Punk in my Pudding

After dearly desiring those s/s2010 Miu Miu collars, I, like every other cheap bastard bought a too-big second hand shirt and decorated it myself. I attempted the cat, and, failing dismally went for a more Vivienne Westwood 07 thing. (Which will probably remain my excuse for every failed drawing for the rest of my life.)
Vivienne Westwood ready-to-wear Spring 2007

Ugly shirt lead to a stand alone collar. I had fun with it on Christmas day paired with this gorgeous Therese Rawsthorne dress.
Ah, but every business day must come to an end. Off with the collar - with an expression that says both "too much champagne" and "there is uneaten Christmas pudding with My Name on it".
-Yay! Party with Viv and Pamela-

PS. How cute does smiling Lindsey look at the top!?

Video Meliora Proboque Deteriora Sequor (I see and approve the better ways, but I follow the worse ones)

Let us consider Miu Miu Spring 2011
Exhibit # 1 - Swan Dress:
Heaven! Bit of an awkward length, but that silkiness, the black setting off the swan, those greens, a chunk of pleats - delicious
Exhibit #2
Snake dress, no wonder Eve was naughty, look at the fluoro pleats and the snake peeking at her fanny.
Exhibit #3
Cute cut outs, but a bit of an odd paper bag effect,
and now comes the down-turn
Exhibit #4
A dress that makes Abbey Lee Kershaw look likes she's trying on her busty aunty's negligee? No! It all clashes, but not in a fab way, in a strange baggy way - the whole thing makes me uncomfortable.
Exhibit #5
ick.

In conclusion, this collection troubled me. Too much glitz with not enough glam.
It makes me feel like Miuccia forgot about Miu Miu and threw together this mash of Ziggy Stardust and nanna wear too late, and with ill consideration. Obviously there are some singularly gorgeous pieces, but as a whole, the collection felt strained.
I saw a photo of Lindsey Wixson smiling the other day. It was fantastic - like this collar and unlike the bulkiness of the jacket body.
Oh swanny swan, swan about with me

Picture Book. Pictures of your Mama, taken by your Papa a Long Time Ago

A postcard! A picture book!
Gashlycrumb Tiny!
How many clashing prints can we fit together?
Postcardy
Why Yes! There is a bedazzled yabbie on my cap. You don't have one? (expression of someone who really wants to eat your sandwich)
OH! You didn't know I OWN THE GREATEST SHOES IN THE WORLD?! Shame on you!
Look at them, pride of place in my bedroom (it's a shed, I love it)
But They're Art! They Can't live in the Shoe Drawer!

(LOT'S OF EXCLAMATION MARKS!)
(you can also call an exclamation mark a bang! cool!)

If Nicole Diver had stayed until the 70s on the same Riviera

It looks like this blog is becoming a, a, a, fashion blog. Fuck. No one needs another fashion blog, and I certainly don't have anything unique to say. Actually, the world doesn't need any more blogs at all, there just isn't That much to say.
Oh well.
After a year of lusting after Miu Miu s/s2010 and attempting to convince a fashion-student friend to make me one of the collars (naked ladies included please and thank you) I thought the Miu Miu loving was over after seeing a slightly underwhelming fall/winter collection. But then I went and got all ditzy over the pants of Resort 2011. Pants! Weird righhht?

Undecided about if they would look better high-wasted
 Safari sisters
The drapery on these jumpsuits is so elegant, yet retains the playfulness of the collection. Hehe! I am so serrrious. But, they are totz cute
I rummaged around in my own wardrobe. This is as close as I could get for 70's pants cut and print:
All op-shop fodder (hat, leotard and pants) except for the Isabela Capeto for Melissa jellies, which are annoyingly painful for something so cute.
Poochie too!
